Kitchener (Nov 20, 2008) -- A 25-year-old woman fought off a would-be robber at a bank machine Saturday night. The woman was approached at a bank on Highland Road West near Westmount, police said. He demanded cash, but she put up a fight and he ran away without cash. The man is described as white and about five feet five inches tall. He had dark hair with bleached tips and wore a hoodie and sunglasses. Anyone with information can call police at 519-653-7700, ext. 4499.
